SaintSinner Entertainment is an independent film and video company based in Southern New Jersey, helmed by company principals Brandon E. Brooks & Amel J. Figueroa. We aim to create film and television projects that captivate, educate, and elevate the independent filmmaking world, through various genres including comedy, drama, horror, action, thriller, documentary, etc.
Our current film project in post production is a psychological horror thriller titled THE QUIET ONES (formerly titled Hush), which was written and directed by SSE principal, Amel J. Figueroa, and which stars Courtney Gains (Stephen King's Children of the Corn), Adam Ciesielski (Fear of Clowns 2), Brea Bee (Dare), Jeremy Zelig ("As the World Turns"), Clayton Myers (Safehouse), Dennis Ronin (Murder Below the Line), Bill Allen (Rad), Mark Lassise (Fear of Clowns 1-2), Reggie Bannister (Phantasm 1-4), Vanessa Liu ("Hack"), Jessica Browne-White (Annapolis) and Tony Todd (The Crow). We produced this project with the production help of Ningun Films (David Von Roehm), Off on a Tangent Productions (Mike Biaselli & Scott Parker), and Potent Pictures (Christian Grillo, John Kent, Carmela Hayslett). The Quiet Ones is currently in post-production for a winter 2009 release.
We're also in serious financing and co-producing talks in regards to what we perceive to be an award winning type feature film script titled SWEET FIFTEEN, which is an intensely compelling story in the vein of such excellent films as QUINCANERA and SET IT OFF. The screenplay has received great coverage from United Talent Agency, and will have numerous principals cast from the UTA roster, potentials including some of the most talented acting talent in the world including Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious), Roselyn Sanchez (Rush Hour 2), Rosario Dawson (Clerks 2), Marc Anthony (Man on Fire), Brian White ("The Shield"), Ruben Blades (Once Upon a Time in Mexico), Zulay Henao (Fighting), and Josh Peck (The Wackness) to name a few. This Latin themed crime drama that centers around family, murder, revenge, and forgiveness is being set up to be a sure fire independent film hit.
Another feature film project we have in development is the revenge thriller SAY HELLO TO THE NIGHT, written by Amel J. Figueroa. Figueroa will direct, with partner Brandon E. Brooks producing, along with Hells Kitchen Entertainment and Potent Pictures. SSE has been in talks with actors William Forsythe (88 Minutes), Dichen Lachman ("Dollhouse"), Miguel Nunez (Kickin It Old School), Courtney Gains (The Burbs), James Duval (Independence Day), and Frankie Shaw (Explicit Ills), in regards to key roles in this film, so STAY TUNED as more news becomes available.
Currently, various film and television project packages are being sent out to numerous private equity investors and producers in regards to securing financing for them. The projects include a television pilot for a one-hour action drama series titled "JERSEY'S FINEST". A full season has been plotted out for this series, and many well known actors have expressed interest in being a part of this ensemble cast.
Another project we have in development with producer Steven J. Brown (The Tortured) and producer Peter Evans (Remnants) is a supernatural horror film titled THE THIRTEENTH GATE, which is based around an actual popular Louisiana Halloween haunted hayride attraction of the same name. Frightland is set to star veteran horror icon Michael Berryman (the original Hill Have Eyes films, The Devil's Rejects), Lar Park Lincoln (Friday the 13th 7, "Knot's Landing), along with a hot list of potential acting talent being sought after.
We also have a few smaller budgeted projects (in the 300k-750k range) we're seeking funding for, including an interracial drama titled CIRCLE OF IRONY, a music themed drama titled SOUL, and the horror film slasher film SERAPHIM, written by actor/optioned screenwriter Patrick Green.
We're also in pre-production for a horror short film, which was written and will be directed by Brandon E. Brooks, titled THE SICKNESS. The short is set to star up and coming actresses Laura Lynn Cottrel (Decoy) and Fallon Maressa (The Lovely Bones).
